We train:
Emus (For transport and occasionally pets. Also, we train them to march in parades alongside Kangaroos on Australia Day and ANZAC Day.)
Koalas (House trained. Also we can teach them to do awesome tricks.)
Platypus (Underwater rescue/guarding. The boys have one hell of a poison gland.)
Possums (Fruit-picking, house trained.)
Kookaburras (For emergency laughter tracks should an Aussie comedian fail.)

There was also an attempt to train Dropbears as a kind of special sniffer/attack dog unit for our Commandos back in 1965.

Good god am I lazy

Remember that thingy I was doing on here?

Yeah, me neither. Have some random thoughts from the last month-

I’m enjoying submarine gaming. Blame Something Awful again. Mr Xenocides is running 2 games at the same time, the boardgame about the American submarine war Silent War, and the video game of the U-Boat war Silent Hunter III. For both, he asked for goons to do some RPingness… in the latter, I was a Rainman-style savant before we were bombed to shit, and now I’m essentially the KM version of Oddball. The former… well, here’s the collation of what’s been happening on the SS Seawolf.

I’ve taken up smoking cigars. That’s about it, tis quite good for chillaxing and pontificating. Though not too often… it’s true, crack is cheaper.

Ponies has finished for another season. And so now it’s time for more video creation, starting with a quick joke. Next up- Ace Combat, for it is awesome.

Wargame: Euro Escalation is a brilliant game and you should get it. Seriously. It’s the best tactical/strategic wargame there is. Simple enough to keep up the action, enough complexity to make it interesting. Just don’t be a whore with nothing but MLRS and gunships… yes, it works, unless the enemy is actually competent.

Well darn

So, my joystick died. While I’m trying to make a MW4 LP. Fantastic.

So what do I do? Go shopping. This involved wandering over to the local shops to find out that Easter Monday does mean public holiday for everyone, before heading to the city to find out that they have their own agenda. Which was good for me, having them open.

So I spend about 2 hours wandering the streets, hitting up anywhere that might sell PC gear, and finding that none of them, even EBGames, have joysticks on stock. Finally, out of desperation, I went to Dick Smiths, in the vain hope that maybe they didn’t dump all their PC gaming stock.

Good news- they didn’t. And I now have joystick.

Bad news- it’s an Attack 3… the one with no twist and no POV hat, which I kinda use constantly.

In summary- kids, use eBay. You’re more likely to find stuff and you wont get flat feet from doing so.
